Termination
A member shall cease to enjoy membership of the Association upon
a) Resignation
b) Expulsion by the General Meeting for gross misconduct.
c) Ceasing to operate.
d) Deregistration of his college by relevant state authorities
e) Non-payment of annual fees for a period exceeding two years.
f) Failure to attend in three consecutive general meetings without
Reasonable cause and notice.
▪ Termination of one’s membership for any reason except for resignation shall be proposed
by EC and be approved by the GM.
▪ Except as otherwise stated herein or where the circumstances compel otherwise, EC
shall not propose termination of membership unless first gives that person a written notice
of not less than 30 days to show cause why his membership should not be terminated and
that person fails to show the cause within that duration. The GM shall hear the member
before approving the EC’S proposal of termination of membership of any member.
Unless the GM for special reasons directs otherwise, hearing at this stage shall not
involve ant matter which was not raised in the hearing before the EC.
